no you can not use your d16 trans with a b16 motor. i went from a d16y7 to a b16a before and was not very impressed i would suggest a b18 or turbo your d16.also get a hydro trans not a cable or you will have to do a hydro to cable conversion and you will need a 99-00 civic si rear motor mount. you will also need axles from a 99-00 si civic or a gsr. thats all i can think of right know. good luck with your swap.

it would probably be more beneficial to turbo the D. You already have a y8 so your intake mani will be good. Just throw some Eagle rods and pistons (ive heard Vitara work well and are good priced) in and turbo away.

Not to mention you'll be pushing around 200+ HP and spend less money!

true, i'd boost the D if i was you. If you really have $4500 to throw around, you can get a damn good turbo kit/tune for that much. The internals like 98Civic mentioned are a good idea too, stronger internals = can handle more boost.

thing is a new motor extends the life of your vehicle while adding performance, turbo reduces the life. Yes cheaper, but if you're at 200k, not better

a b18 is going to be slower than a b16, there is about 30-40 hp difference between a b18 and a b16, depending on if its jdm or usdm

B18c1 has 200hp according to wikipedia, which is quite a gain over b16a2's 160. Buti dont imagine you could get that engine for $1450

^ I wouldnt entirely trust wikipedia. Its not a solid source. The GSR does not pump out 200hp.
