ok just got done reading ss and something got my attention other than the models.they said u could put a vtec head from a d16y8 on a d16y7 and pistons from a 88-89 integra d16a1 that would produce 12:6:1 ratio but thats all it said now do i need any thing other than the head or do i need the ecu or a different dist: or what ?any help or info about this swap would be great, thanks

 

yes you will need the vtec solinoid(spelling error) and wiring in order for the vtec to work. I believe you will also need an ecu from a y8 but not sure. As for the pistons I think I have heard about this before, but im not sure. Someone on here will be able to assist you with that.
