Default Just need some one to double check, obd2-obd1

Hi, I own a 1997 Civic c x hatch... I'm looking into buying a B20 block with Type R head, my problem is that i need to go from obd2 to obd1... so i have looked into this, I've looked into Google, this site, Honda Tech ... From all this I've found that i need a ECU, jumper and a distributor. To make it simple. 1st question. Will any Honda obd1 ecu work? if not, what is suggested? My second question is the same but for the distributor?

If I'm missing anything, please don't be shy. Any info on this would be great, as this is my first Honda build and would like to be successful

Thank you

All you will need to run the obd1 ecu is a obd2a - obd1 jumper harness. Unless you plan on running an obd1 wiring harness there is no need to worry about the distributor. Just make sure you run a DOHC vtec distributor from a obd2 car and you will be set.

Summary:
Use obd2a - obd1 jumper harness
Use obd2 distributor if using obd2 wiring harness
Use obd1 distributor if using obd1 wiring harness
