Just to add to all the weight talk, I've read the D series only weighs about 300 pounds in all. To me that sounds like just the engine though, and not the engine + tranny. Can anyone confirm?

i cant confirm but, me and one other buddy hauled a d-series 1.6 motor and tranny by ourselves about 50 feet. it wasnt too bad but it felt more like about 400 lbs.

hey sniper and remmy, i'm not all the way back yet. but I am finally in a fema camper, hell of alot better than gramma's couch. havent figured out where to set up my computer yet.

uh troublesome, i havent got the a/c hooked up yet as the motor is pulled back out and in pieces being ported polished and rebuilt with racing internals. but sacicons did tip me off with this website: jdmsh!t.com they sell a custom bracket for $120.00 that allows you to keep your a/c.

if the D series weighs 300 ponds by itself, thats a SH T load. My 2.4 liter Iron block SRT4 engine weighs 339 lbs by itself. Could anyone shed some light on how much this engine actually weighs?
