Hello!

After being with a couple of my friends (one with 08 Mugen Si and one with a boosted built RX7 FD) I wanted my car to go a little faster than it is right now.(1998 civic Hx D16y5). I have thought of doing different swaps such as the H22,K24 and even any B series motors. I asked my friends what they think and they all told me I should swap it. After asking my mechanic about it, he suggested just buying a different car and just stick with that. Me being a college student and working part time, I have about 4k ish to spend on this and wanted an opinion on this. I was thinking of either getting a cheap decent Nissan 350z, or swapping the engine (D16y5) to a b series, h series, or even a K, or just buy another D16 (y8 this time) and build it to boost. After reading a few forums, I came to the conclusion that the Y5 would be pointless to build and would rather build the y8 for full vtec. I'm not really looking for insane power but more of something I can have fun with and not break the bank. I would still be happy making 180-250 boosted or not, but would still like to daily it with AC and PS.

When I say build, Im talking about the infamous Vitara build and boosting it (for d16y8)

I wouldnt probably build the K or H (too expensive) but I would build the B series

Also would like an opinion on the B20 because those are more common than b18 or b16

If you need the vehicle as a daily driver, keep it stock and buy a fun car as the toy. That's my advice
