Default Stroking a b18c

I am getting a b18c gsr engine and i was wondering if anyone as ever done a stroker kit on one of these. I know it brings it up to a 2.1+L engine but i was thinking that it would also make the compression levels real high. Would you recommend doing this? Do you know how much of a hp/torque increase it adds? Also would it be a good idea to boost it?

Thanks Im just alittle confused w/this subject.

Default RE: Stroking a b18c

Stroke has nothing to do with compression. It is all in the crank and rod length.I personnaly would not want to stroke a B or D series for a daily driver if anything I would de-stroke it.If you want displacement do it right and get a H22 and stroke it,I have seen 2.5,2.8,and 2.9 h series put down great numbers. It is also fine with boost if done all in the crank with forged rod and lower compression pistons. Now I would not go over boring the hell out of the cyl. walls and then boost on them.
