Yeah, but you would need A LOT more than just the engine...
Engine
Tranny
Axles (probably will have to be custom..)
ECU
Shift Linkage
Motor mounts (custom ones?)
Starter
Alternator
Exhaust Manifold
Engine Harness (custom maybe?)
And probably a lot more that im forgetting...

ESP makes mounts for like 300bucks. But everything DaOne said is right.

f20b will NOT be the cheapest by far. Will cost as much as a h22 swap basically everything applies to a h22 swap with a f20b. f20b is a destroked h22. With smaller valves and better cams. Also good luck finding a f20b trans. You will ahve to use a h22 trans if you want short gears. Or use f22 trans but that will just suck...but f series trans are mad cheap. Or you can spend 1500bucks for a h2b kit but your still not keeping it cheap at that point.

I have never owned a civic only cb7s in my life time. But from what I hear your better off with a b series engine if you want to upgrade. Not as much work to swap them.

Kinda like me wanting to swap a k24 in my cb7..it's much easier to just swap the h22 and call it a day...same concept.

You'll definitely want VTEC. otherwise whats the point of doing a b swap. and if you budget build it will be cheaper. but the price difference will be worth it. no one wants a built non VTEC honda. if anything save up a little more to do the swap. No need to rush it and waste money on an engine not worth swapping. That's just my two cents.

^ wrong. Nonvtec b series is still far superior to a d series. Why would there ever be so much aftermarket support for ls motors if they r garbage? Take the extra money from buying the nonvtec mill and boost it. Ls motors love boost. Project91, im not trying to be a dick, but have u ever owned a civic with a nonvtec b series in it? My eg had a stock bottom end b20b with crower cams and i will be dammed if a stock gsr would outrun it. Cheaper than a stock gsr too. Vtec isnt everything, u can compensate for WOT power with cams, and come out cheaper. My b16 in my rex isnt much more potent than a z6, yet its dohc vtec. I would rather have an ls motor in it, or a b20b for the greater torque. Vtec isnt everything.

I'm sorry but you just made you self sound stupid with the comment "no one wants a built non VTEC honda"
There are PLUTY of non vtec hondas out there that will RAPE vtec builds. I have owned a f22a NON vtec (all motor) engine that would kill b16/b18 and some mild built h22 vtec engines all day long. So the if you want to be cool and have "vtec" then you have ALOT to learn. Need to understand the point of vetc be4 having a vtec engine and what it does.

I know this it a little off topic to a point...but SOHC vtec is performance pointless they are only good for gas mileage. It's the DOHC vtec engine that are the high end screamers......and project91 I’m not trying to be mean…just honest
