wich b16 to swap

does it matter which year b16 i put in my 99 ex, because i see that the older ones are a lot cheaper? could i just get an older motor with a 99 si transmission and call it a day?

RE: wich b16 to swap

no. you can, but its not worth it. it would be a huge pain to get teh old b16a1 to work in your car. you can get the 92+ OBD1 motors to work though, with an OBD conversion harness. ive never needed one, so i dont know how much they cost, but im pretty sure its a lot.

so your saying that i can look for a 92-00 b16 and it will work. i will just have to get the 99 transmission and the obdII computer?

RE: wich b16 to swap

if you get a post 96 USDM or post 97 JDM motor, it should come with the obd2 computer. and any 92+ b16a2 should come with the right tranny. if you go with an integra motor, the years change to a post 94 tranny, and a post 96-97 motor.
