!!**Put a 2001 1.7 Civic motor into a 1993 eg?**!!

I have a 1993 Honda Civic Hatckback dx. The motor that is in it is getting kind of tired. My friend has a 2001 Civic with a 1.7 or a 1.6L. I wanted to kno if I can put that motor and tranny into my 93 eg with not much complication. If You have any answers please answer.

Thanks
Daniel.

if its a d16 it should be a pretty straight forward swap, if im correct

Dont wast your time with that d17 get a cheap d16z6.

I heard the D17's actually don't just drop in either. For the power increase it is not worth it. If your gonna be changing mounts and such, you might as well just slap a B18 in there.
