I have a 1989 Honda Civic with a 1.5L motor, I was told it is a noninterference motor. But then I was told it was. I really need to no which one is right.

if your timing belt goes more than likely your valves are ****ed

Sure is. Its not really scary, only if you dont maintain your car. If your car has over a 100k miles and you dont know if the timing belt has been changed, get it changed. I just bought my 99 si about 6 months ago and it had timing belt changed at 86k miles, it now has 155k so I'm changing the timing belt, tensioner etc. Preventative maintenance is the key to the longevity of any car.

 

well i just bought a 00' si with 84....would it be a good idea? oh and how much does that cost?
