I'm finally going to do an engine swap on my BONE stock 84 crx 1.3 (NOT fuel injected). I would like some advice on were to start, I'm a little clueless right now. What kind of issues will come from the car not being fuel injected? What would be a good engine combo to go with for this car. Any info would be great!!!!

Probably a d series engine would be sweet in that thing. Either a zc or a y8. I'm sure you could get a bigger engine in there, but I'm not too sure. I just really wanted to reply because that is one freakin' clean car. Even the engine bay looks clean. Anybody have any specs on this car? Weight, hp, tq?

 

Z6 or JDM D15B = best d-series engins. Although chim can rep the D17s pretty well.

 

well...carburation to feul injection can kinda be a bitch to swap...but its possible. im not sure which site has the DIY...it might be HMT...but theres a pretty good one out there based on hondas that has a good carb->feul injection DIY.

as for the engine: D16A1 out of the 1G integra. its a fairly straightforeward swap...i want to say you have to change one mount but other than that its just drop it in and go. the d16a8/d16a9/dohc zc would be from the Integra LS and would be swappable into your car but it would be a tough one. i dont know much on that swap. just look around for 1st generation CRX swap on google and you should find tons of stuff from various honda forums.
