Default 1992 Accord help over heating

My wifes car is over heating i just replaced the thermostat and it was full of coolant. The water pump has been leaking prety bad since we bought the car. But now it is to the point to where we cant drive the car because it just runs hot the whole time no matter how much fluid is in it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like you need to replace the water pump.

Ok water pump on. She has been having transmission issues as well. After the car warms up the d4 light on the instrument panel starts flashing and it only seem like it has 1st and 4th gears. Any ideas.

sound like your water pump for the overheating part because its not keeping fluids any smoke or steam
