1993 D15B7 Head Gasket replacement
So after sitting for a long time I thought I'd finally replace the blown head gasket in my 93 civic dx. However after lapping the valves, getting a new head gasket, I noticed a gap between the sleeves in the middle two cylinders (see pictures below). I'm thinking this gap isn't supposed to be there. The gasket I got is 4 sheets of metal. Should I try putting it back together anyway and see if it runs ok (who knows for how long) or is this the end of this block?

would not recommend reinstall, move on with another block/motor..

you can try and fill it with some stuff that napa has that will fix it i forget what it is called it's like a type of glue small clear bottle strongest type they have but that might temporary fix the prob. i would just get a new block. get your head checked to see if it's worped.

The new MLS head gasket seems to be working just fine. Pressure is maintained (for now). I'll let you know in another 3-X months if it blows out.
