RE: 2000 Si from 160 to 260
For you as it sounds like your not to informed as far as boost, building, and stuff along those line(no offense) I'd get a greddy kit for the 99/00 si, convert your ecu to obd1, and run a chipped ecu with crome or neptune on it. Where are you located?

yea not really informed on the whole performance asspect of it. I am in college in Fl studing to be a mechanical engineer. I dont know wat is wat or wat really does wat in terms of performance. Learning as i go. "convert your ecu to obd1, and run a chipped ecu with crome or neptune on it" care to elaborate on what all that is lol. And i hear some people say that chipping does not really help much...

Well there are a couple ways to chip a ecu, crome/neptune are programs that are put onto e-proms that then go into your ecu. These programs allow a tuner to pull logs(air/fuel readings, boost levels, timing, knock readings, etc, etc) they also give the tuner a way to alter such settings. As far as who to take it to, it needs to go to someone with a good name behind them that has/does tune turbo'd cars........,try to find someone that has done alot with honda's. In the tuning section on this forum I have posted a couple good threads on tuning software, what it does, and how it is installed maybe you should check them out.
For a 240 to 260whp range your stock B16 should be ok as long as nothing is wrong with it from the begining.

Ok thanks for the info. So another question lol...
For my 2000 si wat would you say is the best catback exhaust and turbo stage one kit for it. I already have a an exhaust system but it came with the car when i bought it and i dont think its any good. dont kno wat brand but it looks like it came from a junkyard.

RE: 2000 Si from 160 to 260
do u just want 2 boost or u want 2 keep it stock on block cuz without boosting u can get at least 217hp just by putting on typr r cams, the basic stuffs like headers, cold air intake, intake, ground cables, hondata, nos if u want that extra boost 4 victory, and tuning alsobut its good 2 have a act clutch, and 8 or 11 pounds fly wheel but boost is always the best way cuz right now i have a turbo system that is 525psi compability and with that turbo im getting 11psi getting well over 360 easliy with stock pistons and other stuff on it and taking well care of it...
