2000 Si turboed gas milage
 
how good does a 2000 SI with turbo get? my stock Ex s getting 29.5 mpg.
if possible, post your ride with mpg plz~! thanks

It depends. Mine will get 300 miles on a tank. But thats going 90mph@ 5k rpm

A turbo could actually improve MPG if I'm nto mistaken. You just have to drive it lightly, haha like that will ever happen.

crusing at highway speeds will give u SICK mpg. I get 40+ in my D16Z6 turbo

If you get the car tuned then you MIGHT see an increase... its a common misconception that turbos always improve gas mileage. Like it was said above... depends on your driving habits...

wow! I dont think so, does not make sense at all!! you have more power, and less mpg. does not make sense.

Think about how turbos work. They take wasted exhaust gasses and put them to use. At highway speeds the turbo is NOT boosting, but the exhaust gasses still spin the turbo and feed the engine air, turbos make your engine efficient at low rpms and higher speeds. Trust me, I have a turbo and if I drive on the highway I get insane mileage. Turbos only increase power while the engine is under boost, THATS when it uses more fuel. Ask Kappa22, Sacicions, Leviii or Marty....they know this as well.
