2001 civic ex

hello i have a 01 civic ex with the 1.7l engine. what is the best engine that will fit easily and provide great power with some work? thanks

The K series, but all in all it will cost between 5-8 thousand. All the old B-series/ D-series motors are illegal swaps because they're older, but they also don't fit w/o custom everything...
