2003, LX vs EX

What are the physical differences in the engines in both cars? Cause the LX has 115 hp and the EX has 127, why is this?

RE: 2003, LX vs EX

The EX has VTEC and the LX/DX does not. Also, the cat on the LX/DX is connected to the header, where as with the EX, it is further down under the car. Those are the main differences.
