400 hp and wont stop spinning through gears
I have an 00 si with a built h22 turbo and it was at 350 hp on 13 psi and now we are at 400 and the dang car just wants to spin no matter what. I mean if your sitting at a red light and just let off the clutch to roll out and not even hit the gas it's like a drag start or something. How can I balance it out? My goal is to get it to about 450 or 500 hp but make it as driveable as possible. If I could do that this car would eat almost anything.

get some traction bars, some street radials, some good solid motor mounts, good suspension

I guess just play with tire pressure and suspension settings, light ass civic's have a tendency to break loose with any real tq no matter where it comes in at. If you are running a light weight flywheel try a heavier one, maybe think about a ballast for the front of the car to push your center of gravity towrds the front some more. Set the front springs up loose and the rear up stiffso that when on the throttle the front will have more room to move without hitting the suspensions peak travel point thus it is less opt to try and pull the front wheels. It's all about weight transfere and that can be adjusted with spring rates and dampening factors of the suspension. Then again when on the street you could run lower boost/lower power and then full slicks at the track with more boost.

feather the clutch when you drive so you arnt spinning and play with your suspension a little bit

Is your limited-slip functioning properly? Is it set up as tight as possible? Weight the front bumper and/or hood. Strip weight from the back of the car.

ORIGINAL: riceburner700 get some traction bars, some street radials, some good solid motor mounts, good suspension maybe even throw on a set of DR's and replace them every year unless you go through tires really fast |
