85 crx swap
 
what would it take to put a D15B in my 85 crx. I had the same engine in my 96 civic that i wrecked and i want another to put in my hatchback. any input?

Need to convert to MPFI (multi point fuel injection). That is, if you even have fuel injection. IDK

You'll also need an OBD1 P28 ECU, and an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion harness. I'm sure there's other stuff.


Most of the stuff is going to be wiring and fuel. The D15B will physically bolt right in. You will either need to use your current transmission or to get an adapter for the D15B transmission so that its clutch can be operated by cable.


There isn't much info on 1st gen CRX's and 3rd gen Civics out there. I don't know where to begin looking, even Honda-Tech doesn't have a section for it.

You're gonna have to get on google and search A LOT.
