88-91 1.5 and 1.6 Differences

What are the differences between a 1.5 and the 1.6 in the 88-91 civics. Reason I ask is I have a friend who has a blown 1.6 in her car and found a great deal on a low mileage 1.5. She is asking me if I can swap the 1.5 in for the 1.6 and besides the 20 or so hp, what difficulties will I run into? Will the multi-port injection from the 1.6 bolt up to the 1.5? Or is this going to be a major hassle?

Thanks.

D series is a d series.... if it is a mpfi, then it should bolt up no problem... smog maybe a different story.. i would swap the ecu as well.... I think that sounds about right... lol

Same year, they're both out of a 1990, but the new engine is a 1.5, I imagine from a DX, and the car is an SI 1.6.

Short answer: It would be a pain in the ass, and not worth losing the power just to get a new engine. The DX engine is DPFI and the SI engine is MPFI, so you'd be doing a backwards conversion, which just isn't a good idea.
