Default 89 civic engine swap question

I recently bought a 89 civic hatch and am wondering what would be the best swap. My friends are telling me the b18 is the best but I'm not sure. I was wondering i I could get your guys suggestions. Thanks for the help.

The b18c1*from the gsr integras) is a great engine, it has a lot of pontential and it would cost you around 2,500-3,000 for a complete swap. However, are you doing the engine swap yourself or having it done professional since that would run you around another 1,000 maybe less or more depeding where you go.

Another good engine swap in my opinion is the b18 from the ls integra since they have a good amount of torque and they love boost.

This is the best write up I have seen on EF/ED swaps so you might wanna check it out...

I think it has a few prices in it but it goes down and list the challanges and what extra crap you need and stuff for each swap.

yeah..just do your research...and dont let people influence you too much..

I was set on the B16 swap for the longest time but i knew i never would be able to get the funds for it so as i was saving i found a bunch of info on the DOHC ZC swap which gives about 130 HP which is also said to be underrated..and a couple weeks later one popped up on craigslist...so i jumped on it and now im working on my zc swap...

so....just do plenty of research and you will be good.
