not sure what the origanal motor was but it has a d15b7 out of a 92 civic dx.... the head is making a powerful ticking and knocking sounds... any 1 had any problems like this?? it doesnt want to idle or run very good....

 

Last time i heard a sound like you're describing was in my car. We bought the car with a blown engine.....the kid never put oil in it and melted some metal.

well the thing is i just traded my 94 civic dx for this crx and im thinking he gav me a blown motor... idk was planning on doing an h22 swap anyways.... but not for a few months....

 

Well anyway...that should be a fun swap! And that clip is about what my blown d16 sounded like.

 

that is the same sound that my motor makes but it goes away after a few seconds... sounds like there is no oil but then it idles of... then once i start to drive it it makes that noise again really fast idk blown u think? wut was wrong with urs.... somthing fall apart inside??

 

the bearing for the piston actually melted and smeared everywhere

I only turned it on for like five seconds, and never revved it up or drove it.

 

i supose it could of melted somthing... idk it happened first when i was racing a eclipes... it took 2nd gear hard and started to knock so i slowed... ****ty
