ok so i have been having a problem with my motor... i was checking compression and 3 of the 4 cylinders wont hold... the one holds at about 90-120... im just wondering wut could be wrong wiht the other 3?? the motor has a mad ticking noise if it will start.. 2 of the spark plugs where saturated in oil and other 2 were dry...whats the possible problems im looking at? stuck valves? head gasket? rings? hole in piston? idk.... the motor hasnt over heated and no fluids are mixing! thanks

Did the timing belt slip or break?
|
it might of skipped but it did not break
|
i was driving about 45-50mph and dropped it to second gear when all this crap started....

Have you checked whether the mechanical timing of the cam and crank are off? If so, you may have bent some valves.
|
i have not but im going to be looking into that more tomorow in the day light....how exactly do i make sure it is still in timing?

Put the front end on stands, remove the valve cover and upper timing belt cover, use a 17-mm socket and large ratchet to turn the crank pulley COUNTERCLOCKWISE until the cam pulley is positioned perfectly at TDC1, and then check whether at this moment the crank pulley is also positioned perfectly at TDC1 (see diagram below). If not, the timing belt slipped, allowing a violent collision of the pistons with the valves, resulting in low cylinder compression.

could this of damaged the pistons also? and if this is what happend does it make sense that it has happend on 3 of the cylinders?

so i checked the timing and it is way off.. so i asume that that is what happend... i have full day off tomarow to take the head off and check out wuts going on.. any thing else that might of been damaged in this timeing jump? and on the crankshaft pulley i dont have a white line but it has like a 3 line mark and about an inch away from that is a single line is that wut im supost to use to make sure its in time?
