My whole point about the A1 is you will get off around as cheap as another sohc swap. I too am a sohc fan till I die but in this generation of civic's I think the best money you can spend would be a B16A1 swap. Any shop worth a crap will perform the swap for next to nothing and most new people to the scene will be very happy with the power of a B16 in a light 4th gen so bolt-ons will make you happy. The only reason I dont say go with a D15 or a D16 is because it is a labor of love, it takes know-how, *****, and the want to be able to make power with the D series and like every minute of doing it. I myself am like that, I am a bit bias towards the D simply because they are over looked alot and dont get the due credit they deserve(before all the JDM this and that, before all the "swap talk", the D series and the 1st gen DSM's are what started the import revolution in the U.S. like it or not)

For your average want to go fast person they are not the way to go IMO, like I said it takes a person that both understands the D series platform and wants to stick it everyones face that it can do it aswell as any other engine.
