94 dx want to do a swap, what motor?

i have a 94 dx auto 4door and we all know the 1.5 is a great motor but slower than hell, i want to do a swap with a motor that bolts in and i dont have to do alot of wiring changes or motor mount changes,
1. what motor would be good?
2. i would like to go vtec if its not a big pain in the ass

let me know what ya think, the thoughts will be very helpfull

well first off do you want to swap another D in there or a B series motor. Any motor that isnt a D will need new motor mounts. There are lots of routes to go if you get a B series.
I suggest if you want vtec you swap in a LS/Vtec. Or look into a gsr or type r.

well since you already got a d, your options for vtec are z6 and y8, bseries generally push out more HP stock but with the price your paying for them, the costs outweigh the gains IN SOME CASES. just figure out your budget and read up on the bseries you like and see whats good for you. but if you just want to build up the dirty d, forged internals, boost, and a z6 head will give you some power! of corse with the i/h/e already haha. my $0.02
