RE: AEM intake

Well, that's the problem... AEM's stuff is really overpriced, but usually worth it. If you want a cheap intake (without the bling factor of an AEM pipe), get an intake tube from ebay. Then, go to your local Autozone or whatever, and buy a universal cone filter made by AEM or K&N. These two companies are arguably the best intake companies in the sport compact world. Put the filter on your ebay tube, and viola! You have an intake the performs as well as an AEM CAI.

Many people will agree that it's all in the filter. Then, there's the tuned intakes that the tube actually does matter, such as AEM's V2 CAI and Weapon R's Secret Weapon SRI. All in all, on a civic, I'd say just get an ebay tube and an AEM filter, and you'll be good to go.

Welcome to the forums, by the way.
