b16 rebuild question

Ok, im gonna be anub here but im relaying a question from my mech.

Does the B16a2 have cylinders?

He was wondering if it had seperate cylinder jugs or not.

And I found through marty they are open deck and not seperate.

(Still trying to understand that part)
