b16a
recently blew up my d16y8 in my 96 ex. plan on swapping to a b16a, is there any places that are cheap to find a pretty new engine? I found a site (www.jdmcarboy.com) that has a b16a for about $2500 with everything i need including tranny.

RE: b16a
You'd also have to buy cutom engine mounts, wiring harness, ecu, downpipe...but, I bought a d15b7 from ebay. $500 shipped to my door but, relie heavily on the sellers rep and # of sales.

RE: b16a
www.hmotorsonline.com < the only even slightly negative thing I've ever heard about them is that they're prices are high. Personally, from what I've seen, their prices seem to be about average. Anyway, I know a ton of people that recommend HMO... I plan on getting my swap from them (when I finally have the money saved up)

wat about a b18b?

RE: b16a
They're good motors to boost hell out of with good torque. roughly 300 whp turboed and tunned.

RE: b16a
is it a dohc vtec? or wat?
|
RE: b16a
All b-series engines are dohc.
D-series = mostly sohc; the exception being the zc engines B, H, K, F series = dohc here's the best engine reference guide I've found so far: http://www.superhonda.com/tech/honda_engine_codes.html |
