b18 in 89 integra
 
i just bought a b18b from one of my freinds for 300 bucks what are some quick upgrades besides I.H.E. would cams be a good choice or should i be headed in a different direction. Im not lookin for no specific numbers cause that motor in my car will run pretty well just lookin to maybe beef it up a lil more.

depends on what you want out of it.Weither you want to go N/A or forced induction. Different cams will be needed if you are going forced induction. If you go N/A the cams you should get are stage 2. But if you get cams then you have to do a complete valve job. Which means you need to pull the head off the car. Measure weither there is to much play in the valve guide. If so punch it out and install new ones. Then you have to get your car tuned so it will run the way it needs to with the parts you put on it. If you get your car tuned you need some sort of programmable chipped ecu or stand alone system. It varies which company you want to go to for that. depending on the motor since the head is off mine as well inspect the top of the pistons. The pison sleeves. And put a new headgasket on there just so you won't have to do it later. im not putting down the idea. I think its a good idea if you want to put your money into your motor is a good start.
