B18 Type-R in my 92 si

I plan on doing this swap next year when the weather gets better. But I was wondering if any of you could enlighten me on what I could actually do to the motor to put out more power. Is there actually any bolt on's that are better than whats on it now? And I know I can do ignition, suspension, clutch and fuel pump. Just trying to get some more ideas so I can make up a budget this winter.

you could cam it, supercharge it, turbo it, chip it or just leave it alone.

you could also add aftermarket intakes, headers and exhausts.

i'd just leave it alone. it's going to have roughly 200 horsepower in its stock form. that's way more than what your 92 si's OEM is pushin...

Well the civic now has a GReddy turbo kit on it. So Its proabably close to being the same. But if I were to turbo or w/e I would have to put in low compression pistons. I think 11:1 is much too high to boost. And I dont exactly have a tuner nearby, probably pittsburg would be the closest and thats a 2 1/2 hour drive from here.

If you go and do that I wouldnt go over 9:1 compression.

^true, and with that, it kinda defeats the purpose the the C5 motor. If you do get it, keep it NA

Yeah I wanna keep it NA otherwise I would save myself about $1000 and get the B18C1

civic type r cams have a more aggressive profile, look into a thinner head gasket for more compression. omni power flat face valves, ctr crank pulley. good tune with hondata on the dyno.

not really any bolt ons that will give you significant hp, until you go into the internals.

Agreed. I would also recommend upgrading the clutch/ flywheel while it's out(easier that way).
