b18b1 /broken t-belt/no bent valves?
 
ok i was always under the impression that when a honda blows a timing belt they bend valves--ive seen many of them --last week a kid towed in a 98 teg with b18b1 --blown t-belt i told him he may have bent valves--so he didnt have a whole lot of $$--so i thru a new belt on & it ran great ----came back agian today ---blown belt agian ![tention pulley siezed up-to cheap to do it first time ]--fixed it agian --ran great ----a dohc without bent valves ?why? anybody know or just luck ?

Definitely luck. A lot of times, the reason people bend the valves is that they're too dumb to recognize a broken TB and keep trying to start the engine after it dies... But valves bend sooo easily, so he's REALLY lucky. I've seen people bend them just by turning the crank with a ratchet without the TB on it.
