hey everyone i am in the process of buying a 99 hatchback with a b18c5 swap, first off what do you guys think of this engine? and second i cant decide if i want to make it a turbo or n/a whats your guys opinon

It IMO is pointless to use a C5 for boost

ok sweet i love n/a but whats your guys personal opinons on this engine i want the truth cause for the price of the car i could just do a b16 swap into my civic now

i've seen a couple of C5s with Jackson Racing superchargers.

the jacksons have mild boost so you can probably get away with it, but be prepared to pay some money for one of those.

if you lowered the comp a bit and got a GSR intake cam then boosted you would be set.

it is the best stock b series produced by honda, it is great for na purposes, and can do good with boost too. but if you decide to build internals to do anything else with it either na or boost, then you could just get a b16 or b18c and do the same thing with the same output and save money.
