b20

my home boy was telling me about getting a b20 with a b16 (Si) tranny... how good of a setup would this be if i get it turbocharged???

I know that i have to do my research on it and all, but i wanted to get input from people that already know something about this also

Risky. I've heard of many accounts of cracked sleeves from boosted B20s (that's where the extra displacement comes from, thinner sleeves). Killer N/A set up, but do some homework before boosting.

And it doesn't have tohave a Si tranny. There are several transmissions that will do well to suit your needs.

realistcally speaking...the b20 sleeves aren any noticeable amount thinner than a GSR or SiR

RE: b20

maybe he cant afford one. the b20 block with a b16 head can be a killer as hell combo.

on that note...i'd love an LS/VTEC for myself

3mm to be exact and if you crack the sleeves you are doing something wrong or you need aftermarket sleeves anyway.

just because the GSR is 3 times the price doesnt mean its a better engine
