what options do i have for my D16y?
What's up everyone, I have a 99 ex bone stock, and want to start some work on my engine,
I have a D16y with a auto trani, I do want to swap it for a standard but I don't know what options I have for my modle engine, I have heard of a guy pulling high 10's at the track with my modle engine.
Basically I would like to go turbo on my single vtech d16 but what do you guys think?
What could I do to push near 250-300 whp with my modle engine?
Thanks for any info provided

In the state your motor is currently, you wouldn't even pull high 10's in the 1/8th. You could go the turbo route, but you need to learn a lot more before you do anything else. Make a list of the parts you will need. and just so you know, you will be doing a complete rebuild with those desired numbers. There are many threads on builds and the parts required in the diy section of this forum. There are additional faq's on sites such as www.honda-tech.com and others via google.

model*** anyways you dont really have any options besides turboing your d16y8 motor to get the numbers you described. BTW If you do make high 10s or w/e this car will probably not be a great DD. So you might want to take that into consideration. I would push for number more around 200hp. But if you want big numbers and a lot of hp be my guest and do it =)!!!!! Just sounds like you need to do some more research. In the FAQ section there is a great list of books about doing big engines builds and turboing your car. You should pick up a couple of those and read them, they are great starting points.
