Bad Throttle Response?
Ok before you guys yell at me (lol), Ive been using my car for about 3-4 weeks now and every time I floor it my car would take a second or two then increase. is this a problem with my car or is it just like that in my year of civic.
Its a 1998 Civic EX, i believe its D16 idk im not guud with motors yet |
is it really delayed? cause civics arent the fasted things out there so it might take a second or two before you really feel the car jerk you back if your flooring it.
ya thats probably why, is there any way for me to delete that or make it have a faster response time?
Haha, it's a civic with a d16, get used to it. All low powered cars take a while to gain momentum and don't speed up until they hit the blunt end of the powerband. If anything, just make sure your car is tuned up, and secure the throttle cable to the butterfly by tightening the nut if it's loose on the throttlebody.

Is it an automatic? If so, that is exactly why.
haha i knw its a slow car. All my friends call it "The Cow" lol. o Well my buddy with a is250 keeps telling me to grab a B16 but i dont make alot at my job atm. I really just wanna do intake, exhaust, headers. (my friend told me to get 2" piping on the exhaust all the way down)
so is it an automatic or what?
