Thanks, I hope to be puttin a turbo kit on my car as soon as possible, then pistons etc. i figured it better to just stick with my engine than swap to a b, as you said it is the most over rated swap in history haha, What do u think I can push my engine to?

What engine do you have? I also want to clear one thing up, I think the B16 is one of the most overrated swaps in history but I am a fan of the B20's and B18's.

Allright that is good to know, I got a D16Y8 in my 1996 Civic Si or Ex. Would u reccomend swapping with a different engine say a H series or should i be sticking to a turbo for the d series engine. Iv heard some people say they like the feel of the SOHC while others love the DOHC, never got to drive a DOHC so would never know.

Main thing first is what are your goals with the car and how much are you looking to spend in the end.

Hmmm, not really sure about the whole price thing but I was thinking around 12 psi 250hp+ more the better. Drivable but not expected to last forever. I like the idea of a boost controller very much.

Man it is not that easy, to be honest you need a goal....be it 1/4 mile times, hp levels, drive-ability, or something. You never want to start a project with out a goal to reach. Also a thing to think about is that a civic with 200 to 225whp is a damn quick car and is really fun to have. I mean it is all fun and cool to want monster numbers and killer track times but you get to a point and atleast to me it is nolonger fun on the street. I say if you want a very fun car with reliability and you are willing to spend around $2500 I say look into a turbonetics or edelbrock turbo kit and invest about $500 more into a dyno session with a good tuner and let them work their magic.

No idea, Thanks marty i was looking a turbonetics, what do u think i shoul be able to get it for? And i live in Saskatchewan so I'll prob head to edmonton or somethign for the tuning session, any one know a good tuner out there?

My goal is a low thirteen, high 12 second car, id like it at least 210hp+, but still be able to drive it around town...does this help?

well that sucks, i post a reply and then no more than a class period change. i find this other post. It was pretty helpful, i see you guys are really into the turbo and stuff. I mean, is there a way you can beef up a d series without turbo?? i mean, just simply something small...I wanna learn about turbo stuff, but right now i dont have the money. So my budget isnt near the other guys' 2000+ so....something a little smaller
