RE: Best Performance Upgrade?
how all out do you wanna go? Are you gonna keep it N/A or some sort of F/I? Are you gonna build the engine? Auto-X? Or you just want some light bolt ons and suspension mods that will make it a daily driver? And what's your budget? Lots of factors, so the best performacne upgrade for one person could be compltely different from someone else.

RE: Best Performance Upgrade?
for a nice looking exhaus for dd, get the apexi ws2, i run it, and love it on my 99 ex coupe, but it runs your $400+
or you could get a header for some low end torque, any name brand would work well, most go with dc? those are around $300 (dont buy one if your planning on going turbo)
get 15 or 16" rims too, i bought 17's and you can feel a dramatic loss in power due to the bigger tires, plus the rubber is more epensive when the time comes when yourrollin on bigger dubs[:@]

My friend has a 99 EX, what intake did you put on it? how much did it cost? I am also wondering what the deal with the stock air intake is, there is this big black plastic box which the air goes in?? all before the actual filter, whats that all about? can I just take it out?

RE: Best Performance Upgrade?
so ur looking for cheap ways to make power? i would recomend getting an exhaust first, then maybe an intake or exhaust manifold. if your new at working on cars i wouldn't recomend doing an intake manifold bcuz there are plenty of problems that can happen.
