While you're in there you should pull out the oil pump and bore the ports to clean up that bottom end oiling issue.

the y8 has bottom end oiling issues due to a not so efficient oil pump setup. It'd be sad to see all those nice new parts go to hell because they're not getting enough oil.

You'll want to take the oil pump out, and bore it's ports so that you get more flow through them. It doesn't take much, a little bit goes a long way.

Are you planning on running a y8 head too?

Might want to consider moving to a z6 head, it's a little easier to tune, and you can squeezea few more reliable ponies out of it. Just a thought
