built D finally running! (Loud as hell)
 

my motor wasnt starting because of a corroded switch ground, found the bastard and my fuel pump fired right up and so did the car! but its loud and scary... heres what i tried to do to fix it.

-its idling at 2k rpm, need to adjust the butterfly on the throttle body to fix that...
-adjusted all the lifters (.008 intake, .010 exhaust)

what i'm hoping the problem could be caused by, advice on if im correct or any other suggestions.

1.) new wiseco 9-1 pistons are rattling because they havent been warmed up yet and the rings need to seat.
2.) the 2 step colder plugs havent been gapped, i just through them in thinking it wouldnt cause "to" much of a problem.
3.) gas in the car is 87 octane, and its 4 months old, and its been sitting in the sun in 100 degree heat all summer.
4.) timing is slightly off, cant be perfect just by ear ya know what i mean?
5.) a mixture of all 4?

any more ideas? its really scaring me, i got 15k into just suspension, motor, and turbo on this car and im scared to death to drive it now because its given me so many problems.

Sounds like you need to adjust your idle and gap your spark plugs (.028"-.030") before you ask that question again. Disconnect your fuel line and turn the pump on to purge your old fuel and fill er up with 91. Or buy a pump syphon.
