i have a question...whats the difference between a name brand intake/exhaust and a non name brand...like for example R-active CAI vs AEM Intake, or Greddy Exhaust vs G Exhaust...is it the tubing or the diamater, exc...casue i think they both do the same job, just its the name that costs more im guessing?...plz help

sometimes you pay for just a name but with things like exhaust, quality like stainless steel pipe and fit would be better with the more expensive. and even for intakes. i have a honda/acura performance handbook, and they did a top speed comparison with a few intakes. out of the stock box, r.s. akimoto, and aem, aem had the best top speed.

You pay for reasearch and developement. Off brands go off a general design with no or very little testing while bigger companies or "name brand" companies sink more money into issues like fitment, fit/finish, actual functionality of the product
