cam shafts, valve springs, and retainers

I am going to boost my b16 this spring and wanna throw in some cam shafts and probably springs and retainers. Any suggestions of which to buy? Anybody have any experience with this?

Skunk2 is fantastic. Just make sure you get everything from them, theyll work better in unison because theyre tested with each other.

agreed, dont mix and match. Im running Jun stage 3 cams w/srpings/retainers...but im not boosted. I can say though that my Vtec crossover sounds like the world is coming to an end....and I wouldnt suggest going stage 3 if thats all you've got done....my fuel bill is probably the same as Earnhart Jr.

on a boosted B its a good idea to get a CTR intake cam and an ITR exhaust cam

Personally id suggest building the bottom end first. Then the top.

+1. in fact i'll take that statement further and say build the bottom end before the first installation and the turbo.

it just makes more sence. A built bottom end will allow a helluva lot more boost............the top end wont matter as much. You could run forged rods/pistons ans run 15 psi on a nice tune with the stock head. Build head and stock pistons/rings wont allow anything more really.
