Default Cam and turbo questions

Ill be boosting my 99ex with a Greddy kit come spring. I was hot on the idea of running a Zex stage 2 cam and springs but was honestly pretty suprised on how many guys boost stock internals...so tell me honest, is the cam and springs a waste of time? My ultimate goals are about 250 at the wheels. I currently have a nicely ported head that is studded with a s2 manifold and stage 2 clutch along with I/H/E. I wanted the cam and springs as a boost in power to tide me over until spring. Will a turbo cam do much for me in the meantime?

I also hear a tune is neccessary after the cam. I have no idea the price ranges of tuning, if someone could give me a basic background that be cool.

Thanks

an n/a cam is a total waste of money. however a turbo/sc cam is worth the money if you have no intentions of turning up the boost and want the let the engine breath easier. there are also turbo cams with split duration to help decrease spool time.

The springs I have are comp. Which of the 2 cams would you reccomend for a car that will eventually be running about 10lbs?
