i just bought some stage 2 camshafts for my h22 and need info on if i need to upgrade something on my head so the camshafts will work.

 

Most definitely the valve train will need to be upgraded. Titanium valve springs and retainers are the least that I would do. Sometimes you can find a package of springs, retainers, valves, and valve guides...that would be the best/safest way to go. Adjustable cam gears wouldn't be a bad idea either since you are already taking it all apart.

 

i want to get camshafts along with my swap to EX head and vafc2, but should i do stage 1 or 2??? will a vafc2 be enough to tune either 1 of em?
