Check Engine Light on
Folks, appreciate this forum.
I have a Honda civic LX 2004 sedan, check engine ligh came on, took it to Autozone and they gave me a diagnostic code of P0135. probable cause printed on their print out for the code for Honda A/F sensor 1 heater malfunction open or short circuit condition poor electric connection faulty A/f sensor I called a H dealer and a guy in hte service dept told they dont accept other "shop's" codes. also he says Azone doesnt do it properly, they jsut "guess" and when I aksed him how different that they do, he said we use a computer bla bla... and yes they charge only $120 for the diagnostics. My question is I got remote engine start installed a few months ago for winter, do you think it has anything to do with that system at all? I got that thing at circuit city and they are gone:rolleyes:.. What Iam looking for is what could I do? All this car stuff is kinda rocket science to me... pls advise Should I go and try with some other dealer? OR is it usual that car dealers have "sophisticated" equipment and they are deemed better? ThAnks folks for your time |
any ideas anyone folks?

The problem would probably be fixed by replacing the primary O2 sensor; however, there is a possibility that the O2 sensor connector, heater wires, or even the ECU is instead bad. You won't know for sure unless you are able to do the electrical troubleshooting.
