checking timing belt

Is there a wayI can check the timing belt to see ifI need to change it? If so how wouldI go about doing that. My car has 118000 miles on it i bought it with 110000 miles. I just want to know if its been changed yet. How much longer wouldI have before i should worry about it?

Thanks.

Probably should have asked the seller before purchasing the car.

You can look at the belt itself and see if its clearly old or brand new. But, if it was changed 20,000 miles ago (like it should have been) its going to be really hard to tell.

no i dont think so atleast, but look for warning signs like cracks, and if its aftermarket then it was probably changed, if its honda, then it might hav been or might not
