Civic/Accord Engine Swap?
Hey everyone, I have a quick question and hopefully you can help me out. I have a '91 Accord with the f22 engine in it. Would you be able to take that engine out and drop it in a '92 Civic? Also would the Prelude tranny bolt up or should I go with the EX tranny since I read that it is better? If anyone has done this or has any input please respond to the post or e-mail me at redline6209@yahoo.com . |

RE: Civic/Accord Engine Swap?
I guess yorky missed the point that we have the Civic already. What I am asking is that would the F22 stock motor out of the '91 Accord mount up to the '92 Civic? Thanks... |
RE: Civic/Accord Engine Swap?
its been done

RE: Civic/Accord Engine Swap?
Yes, it can be done. I know that someone on ebay sells motor mounts for an f22 in a civic. I wanted to do this also, but only if I could get an older civic at a cheaper price, with the f22a1 making 125 hp and 137 tq. The a4 and a6 make some more hp, not sure of the specs on them though. I dunno about the weight of them, but I'm sure they're heafty engines, as I had a 91 accord and I know that thing was a tank. Check out CB7Tuner.com and I'm sure they can help you out alot more with this.

Thanks 2DHX, you are the only one that didn't have a retarded response and actually told me something. |
RE: Civic/Accord Engine Swap?
The swap is not worth it. I will leave it at that unless you want me to start naming reasons as to why it is not worth it. Just trust me on this.
