Civic Alternator Amperage
 
Im putting a system in my car, I would like to know how many amps does my alternator produce. I have a 97 Ex 5 Speed.

Mitsubishi alternator = 75A
Denso alternator = 80A

First thing you/we need to know is what amp(s) are you using.

Right now I have a kicker 1200.1 with a reccomended 150 amp inline fuse and sony xplode 60 x 4 @ 4ohms drawing about 50 amps. Im guessing my alternator is producing about 70-85 amps. I will be driving 3 10" JL subs, I want to make sure I have enough power. Im way over my alternator amperage, I will upgrade the big but Im also wondering if this system is just too overpowering for my electrical system.

well the stock alt is weak as hell!!!!!!
so invest in a voltage display that way you can see when your alternators charging at 14volts and when your pushen it to hard and goes below 12volts....
