cold air question

hey guys real quick question here, my cold air intake on my k20 engine goes towards the back lower part of the engine bay,it sits down where the steering rods are etc. my question is, i noticed that water from the wheel wells is going into the engine comp. and the filter looks like its taking on a lot of that water. its an injen cold air intake so i would assume they wouldnt make it go there if it were to hurt the motor. but my thought is that condensation can make its way towards the throttle body. is this an issue or am i being paranoid? i was thinking that if it might be a problem to go get some sheet metal and fab up a shield that would block the back side of the filter where it seems to be taking water on. thoughts??

RE: cold air question

you could fab something, or get a heat shield (that also acts as a water shield), but honestly unless the filter isCOMPTLELY submerged you got nothing worry about. If that happesn, you get hydrolock, and thats bad news bears
