hi I own a 98 civic ex, i want to do a compression test but i dont know what the difference is between good compression numbers and bad compression numbers. thanks

if they are all within 10psi of each other they are good, say you have 180, 175, 70,185 cylinder # 3 is really bad with only 70. make sure the engines fully warmed up ,throttle wide open and fuel disconnected

ok.but what number range do i want to look for? im guessing 70 isnt good.

it can differe so much by the condition, compression ratio. as long as they are all within 10psi of each other the engine will be healthy, they really should be between 130psi-200psi
