Connecting Rods
I just got in contact with a local engine builder that builds high performance engines so i emailed him about rebuilding a honda engine. The guy says that Eagle H-beams (and everything else they make) is total garbage. This is the first i've heard of Eagle H-beams bieng a bad product. The builder recommends using either Probe or Crower connecting rods. I've never heard of probe ind and i know that Crower makes engine parts but i am only famaliar with thier camshafts. What do you guys think about the Eagle rods and the quality/durability of Crower and Probe ind? I'm looking to make between 400 and 500 HP at the wheels.

RE: Connecting Rods
EG Coupe with a B18B. However, the engine builder told me that a B18B will most likely melt pistons under boost b/c of a lack of oil squirters. Is this true?

RE: Connecting Rods
lol, ok you have to convert to an external pump or something like that that sprays oil everywere inside the engine vs the stock oil pump which just pumps oil up to the cylinder head...

RE: Connecting Rods
I seriously didn't understand a word of that.

RE: Connecting Rods
Damn, he must've had a few brewskies before he typed that.

RE: Connecting Rods
Is that all you know about the external oil pump? If you know where i could find a price for it that would be great b/c if the pump costs like 1k and is a pain to install it won't be worth it to go with a B18b. The only real reason i'm goin with the B18b is its hella cheaper than a GSR.
